Stairways Group has recently been awarded a CITB funding contribution towards a £50,000 training scheme which the Group plans to run throughout its operations.
Brian Arnold, Groups Human Resources Manager has been working tirelessly on a training plan which will benefit all employees of the Groups 125 strong work force.
Neil Stevens, Joint Managing Director for the Stairways Group said, ‘This is a huge achievement for the Group. We want to invest further in our employees and to be awarded this grant from the CITB is a huge step towards achieving this goal.’
The training plan consists of CNC machining courses through to people management skills and beyond. The plan is comprehensive and exhausts the majority of skills required.
Neil added ‘Now is an excellent time to train and invest in your people when the market is not as buoyant as we have been used to over the years. When the market turns round and production levels increase we will be stronger than before.’
The training plan is due to start rolling out across the Stairways Group during September 08 and will continue for 12 months.
